9:00 pm - 12:00 pm FRI INHERIT THE STARS + CIRCLE OF REASON 9PM (FREE ENTRY)
“With an innovative style that’s entirely their own, Inherit The Stars are the latest giants rising from the depths of the Sheffield music scene. No strangers to hard work, these four lads share a dream of success that they are determined to make a reality, with endless amounts of talent and willpower on their side.
They bring together memorable guitar riffs, a symphony of strings, drums like a thunderstorm, and extraterrestrial synths, creating a force of sound that grips you by the ears and demands that you sit up and listen.
Unlike many new bands of today, Inherit The Stars refuse to be tied down to one genre of music. On both their debut album and their new E.P., you can find metal tracks side by side with potentially classic pop songs, both written and recorded with expertise. As varied as their tracks are, they still carry that unique Inherit The Stars mark; they drive home a will to succeed, and a need to better the human race as a whole.
The name “Inherit The Stars” encompasses everything the band believes in. Fascinated by Space and the world we live in, the messages in the band’s songs range from the problems in the way our world is run and the way we run ourselves, to the wonderment of our existence and our place in the universe.
The band have maintained a strong partnership with esteemed producer Jim Pinder, and together they continue to evolve their songs until they’re the best they can possibly be, with no aspect of detail left without scrutiny.
Poised to conquer the music world with carefully crafted and original songs, Inherit The Stars are a ticking time bomb, and it seems inevitable that before long, they will explode onto the music scene and will refuse to leave quietly.”
CIRCLE OF REASON
“This is truly hard hitting material for a debut EP” Big Cheese Magazine
“5 Assured and and sincere tracks, Loud and forceful with fearless intervals of beauty, it’s an organic collection of alternative, prog infused tracks that seem like a rare jewel in today’s rock crown” Powerplay Magazine
‘one of the most thrilling emerging bands in UK rock and with you feel so much more to come. Really it’s hard not to be excited about this band” Ringmaster Reviews
Forming in 2011, Circle Of Reason are a 4 piece prog-fused/alt/hard-rock band hailing from the South West of England.
Drawing upon a wide range of influences from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, Biffy Clyro, Muse and QOTSA, yet retaining their own unique and diverse twist of alternative hard rock, Circle of Reason are recognised for their hard hitting riffs, soaring choruses, intricate song arrangements and impressive versatility in their songcraft and musicianship. Pulling listeners into a journey from beautifully melancholic to the depths of metal-edged hard rock, the band deliver a musical twist that appeals to a wide audience of rock music fans.
Making waves since the debut release of their ‘A Favour For A Stranger’ EP in 2012, Circle of Reason immediately gained the early approval of Kerrang TV, Scuzz TV, Lava TV & Big Cheese Magazine along with the continued support from online rock/metal press and radio in the UK and far beyond. Showcasing their much gentler, melodic & mellow side, Circle Of Reason ended 2013 with a surprise release of un-heard material that formed their ‘Yesterday Already’ EP.
Breaking into 2014 with the release of their (now on Scuzz TV rotation) video single for ‘Themes Amongst Thieves’, Circle Of Reason have spent the year extensively performing across the UK to promote their EP release ‘These Hands & This Mind’. Their success as a band who can deliver on the live stage, has earned them support slots with the likes of

SUNNATA (Sanskrit, noun voidness, emptiness) is a soundscape, where noise crossfade clearness – where walls of fuzz, delay and reverb confront the monolith of absolute silence.
Driven by addiction to low frequencies, SUNNATA merge psychedelic trips, doomed & catchy heavy riffage with oriental vibe along with grungy vocals and intense grooves.
Open your mind and experience it. Let there be noise.

The only child of a Polish Mother and Egyptian Father, Magdy Abdel-Rehim is a singer songwriter whose influences are as diverse as his heritage. Educated at an International school yet raised in London, his earliest memories are soundtracked by the very best Blues/Rock from both sides of the pond.
Like his childhood hero, Jimi Hendrix and Richie Sambora, Magdy started his musical career as a sideman to other artists where he gained vast experience and honed his stagecraft until the need to tell his own story (coupled with a prodigious talent on guitar and backing vocals that often outshone his paymasters) led him centre stage. From there he inevitably ventured into the previously uncharted waters of songwriting. Locked away with an acoustic and a pen, an intense and fruitful spell followed. The concept of Cairo Son had been born and with the addition of bass and drums – the classic 3 piece being the only line up Magdy could ever envisage for his music – Cairo Son, the band, became reality.
As happy pickpocketing the flair and grit of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains as he is reconstructing the metal sound those bands had themselves influenced, Cairo Son makes a shameless nod to the quality of the past and sidesteps the mediocrity of the present. The band creates a sound for the future that’s fresh, instant and utterly unwavering in its intent. Hard, riff-heavy and lyrically brutally honest, Cairo Son will restore the faith you’ve lost in music.

9:00 pm - 12:00 pm Sat 18th April OBZIDIAN - +DJ DEMONIZE DEBZ 9pm free
Obzidian goes back to the founder’s high school days when Baz (guitars), Paul (drums) and Jeffsy (bass) formed the basis of the band in 2001. Having added a couple of further members in the formative years, by early 2005, the line-up was stripped back to just one guitarist, Baz, whilst Matty J was added as frontman and vocalist, and the band’s current groove-laden sound was conceived.
In March 2007 the band signed with Casket Records and went on to release their self-titled debut in 2007 and “Damned Eternal” in 2012. They played extensively in support of these two releases building a solid reputation across the UK, sharing the stage with the likes of Sepultura, Crowbar and Arch Enemy.

Triaxis are a heavy metal band from South Wales. Formed in 2006, they self-released their debut full-length album Key To The Kingdom in 2009 to critical acclaim, including plaudits from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance as well as coverage and praise from many leading music websites. They have also made numerous radio appearances, including airplay on Bruce Dickinson’s BBC Rock Show.
After headline grabbing sets at Hammerfest III in 2011 and Bloodstock in 2009 and 2012, the band has continued to gig extensively across the UK, and will be appearing at Hammerfest V in 2013 as well as Wizzfest in Belgium. Triaxis have recently finished recording their second album, Rage and Retribution, which is already resulting in rave reviews. Originally engineered by Chris Fielding (Primordial/Winterfylleth) and subsequently mixed and mastered by James Stephenson of Stymphalian Productions, Rage and Retribution will be released on October 8th 2012 and will coincide with tour dates both in the UK and Europe.
“When you walk in the footsteps of giants like Maiden and Priest, you better bring your A-game, and as you can hear from our exclusive preview of new song ‘Sand and Silver’, that’s just what Welsh band Triaxis are bringing to the table with their forthcoming second album.”
“A genuinely creative spark and passion… bringing to mind classic Priest, mid-era Megadeth and Testament, intricately woven together with a taught melodic thread”
“A big hit at Bloodstock Festival… far too good to languish in self-sufficient obscurity. Vocalist Krissie has the range and melodic intelligence of Heart’s Ann Wilson, but with more than a dash of Dio’s dramatic power”
